Cross Training Sports Camp 2012

Don’t let your child miss TNC’S 11th Annual Cross Training Sports Camp beginning June 4-8, from 8:30 -11:45 am for kids ages 6-12. Its popularity and fun is unmatched in North Augusta. It was one of the largest sports camps held at Riverview Park the past few summers.

The Camp Director is our Pastor, Steve Davis. Sign your child up for basketball or soccer camp. Brochures and registration forms are available at Guest Service, Riverview Park and the TNC offices. THIS SUNDAY IS THE LAST SUNDAY for the cheapest ride to Surge 2012.  Surge 2012 is our summer camp @ Daytona Beach, FL July 9th-13th…for students in grades 6th-12th. The cost right now is $250…BUT if you don’t hurry, the cost will be going up starting May 1st. Sign up Sunday at the Element tent or online at www.elementsm.com.

Celebrate Recovery

If you have ever had a hurt, habit or a hang-up that you would like to change in your life, but couldn’t, then Celebrate Recovery is the place for you.  We all have problems and regardless of the problem(s) you are facing; financial, emotional, spiritual, marital, relational, or chemical; the 12 steps to recovery are always the same, no matter what your struggle may be.  These principles have worked in thousands of lives and can work in yours as well, if you want to change.  Celebrate Recovery meets each Sunday at 6:00pm at The Blok.  Everyone is welcome, no registrations or sign-ups required.  Childcare is available for ages 6 weeks – 5^th grade.

Class 101

If you want to know more about the “what and why” of TrueNorth or want to become a member, this class is for you!  The class will be at The Blok Monday, April 16^th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  Sign up’s are available at Guest Services.  Dinner is provided, but childcare is not.

2^nd Saturday

Our next Local Impact event 2^nd Saturday will be this Saturday, April 14, 2012.  Come help us make a difference.  Use your talents at one of several locations, including schools and non-profit organizations, in the CSRA with landscaping, minor repairs, painting or whatever else you can do!  The whole family is welcome to join.  No tools or skills are required – just a couple hours of your time and a willingness to invest in people’s lives.  We will meet at the TrueNorth Church offices, and after a quick snack we will provide transportation to one of the sites.  We will have you back at the church offices by 12:00pm.  This is by far the easiest way to get involved with Missions at TNC.  Come see how God can use you to reach our community through your talents and gifts!

Easter Services

Who are you inviting?  Mark your calendars, this Easter, April 8, 2012; TNC will be having 2 services in the NAHS Gym at 9:15am and 11:15am.  KidzStuff will meet in the auditorium and Journey Land will meet in the cafeteria.

Element

Because of the Spring Break holiday, there will be NO Element on Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

Dunk’d

We will be having our next Dunk’d (baptism service) on Sunday, March 4, 2012.  If you are interested in being baptized, be sure to attend our Baptism class this Sunday, February 26^th at 10:00 am in the Choir Room at N.A.H.S.

Element’s HUGE extravaganza known as 180 Weekend will be March 2^nd – 4^th, and this year our theme is Kingdom Come.  We are bringing in the line-up we worshiped with at Deeper 2011 for this weekend, with Jon Ludovia speaking and Ryan Abel and Friends leading in worship.  Registration cost right now is $50 and is available at www.elementsm.com, the Element tent on Sunday mornings, or at Element on Wednesday nights.

How can I help with 180 Weekend?  I’m so glad you asked…we need homes to house students, hands to help set up, people to make meals, greeters, transportation, etc.  If you feel like that’s something you can help with (and we all know you’re chomping at the bits to help) or have any questions, please email Adam Allen at adama@truenorthchurch.com.

The purpose of TrueNorth Church’s, Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles.”  This experience allows us to “be changed.”  By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually; we become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.  This freedom will create peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.  As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
